We’ll be discovering the animals around us and how we need each other. If you love meeting all kinds of animals, this is the class for you!

Calling all digital citizens! Do you have an imagination? Are you ready to merge gaming and engineering principles? Would you like to design, build, and construct another world? Join us for an exciting week of Minecraft adventures. Expand your current knowledge or learn how this popular game works. We will focus on working as a team in creative mode building a city that will need houses, bridges, and possibly redstone to power it. Let’s see how far we can dive into Minecraft together.

Can you help your new robot friend find an escape from the MAZE?! Yes, you can when you apply the programming skills to help the robot think on its own and find a way out! This class will combine coding and robotics to create a WAY OUT!

Have you ever wondered how energy makes things go? Such as powering vehicles to moving one’s body. Come and experiment with rubber bands, to discover the relationship between how energy is stored in material and how much is released. Students will investigate how hills play a part in making roller coasters move, and many more hands on activities. These hands-on activities will help students think about the world in terms of how and why things speed up and slow down We will focus on engineering, testing hypotheses and using results to develop their ideas and answer the many questions that students have.

If you love nature and if you love art, you are in the right place! We will be spending time in nature, observing the sights, listening to the sounds, and seeing if we can spot wildlife! We will then create art each day in response to our time in nature… this can include watercolor, oil pastels, leaf rubbings with colored pencils, and time for various other art medium exploration!

Have you ever made S’mores using only energy from the sun? Join us on a Hero’s journey and learn about how our planet works and how you can use the energy all around us to accomplish everyday tasks. We will learn ways to keep our planet beautiful and explore alternative ways to capture energy. Help us construct a Pizza Box Solar Oven to capture the sun’s energy to make S’mores. Come help us explore why there is sand at the beach and investigate how our Rocky Mountains help form beautiful sandy beaches. Do you ever wonder how canyons are formed? We will create a model landscape and use our observation skills to see how the landform changes when it rains. Join us and become a hero of our planet and make connections through creativity, literacy, and the arts.

Let’s explore fascinating facts of our impressive oceans! In this class we will learn about why is the beautiful ocean blue, investigate the unique habitats of hermit crabs, jelly fish, and seagulls, learn about ocean zones and the amazing animals of the sea, find out how much of the earth is covered in water and learn about why is the water salty. Let’s learn about all of this and more!

Calling all builders! What’s the only thing better than ordinary Legos? Lego Robotics!! Designing, building, programming, problem solving…we have it all! This class is FLL (First Lego League) inspired and challenge based; what can your robot DO? If you’ve dreamed of creating a robot, and programming it to solve a problem or complete a task, then gear up for a fast-paced week of Lego Robotics construction.
